Body Armor OTAMAN Gen4 V3+ — this is a body armor with an increased protection area for the entire body. The body armor weighs 8.7 kg. The rather significant weight is due to the expanded ballistic protection area of Class 2 according to DSTU.

The protection class of the body armor in the basic V3+ configuration is Class 6 according to DSTU. This protection class will protect you from fragments, ricochets, and automatic gunfire.

The set includes:

• enlarged plate carrier;

• protection for abdomen and chest, back, sides, and tailbone;

• 4 hard magazine pouches;

• ceramic armor plates of Class 6.

The body armor can also be upgraded with Class 6 plates sized 27×35 cm (XL), since the basic configuration includes 25×30 cm plates.

This body armor is suitable for both large men and slimmer users.

But let’s still explain how to choose a body armor for yourself:

• Size S/M — suitable for people up to 175 cm tall, with a chest circumference from 50 to 170 cm.

• Size L/XL — suitable for people over 175 cm tall, with a chest circumference from 60 to 180 cm.

Don’t worry — the body armor is easily adjustable to any size.

Material of the plate carrier — CORDURA 1000: fire-resistant and extremely durable fabric, resistant to abrasion (over 50,000 cycles), non-flammable, invisible in night vision devices, and water-resistant.
Quick-release system — located on the sides and shoulders, allows you to quickly remove the armor in emergency situations and provides medics with access to the body within seconds.

The increased protection area allows you to fully cover the front, side, and back of the body — unlike most other body armor models.

Body Armor OTAMAN (Improved Ballistic Vest, Class 2) is based on the legendary U.S. Army combat vest – IOTV (Improved Outer Tactical Vest).
This model was specially designed for military operations in Afghanistan, and later used in Syria, Iraq, and by contractors around the world. It gained particular popularity due to having the largest protection area in the world, which became crucial with the development of modern artillery weapons.

Interestingly, the IOTV was developed taking into account combat experience, where high mobility and maximum protection became key requirements. For example, the IOTV quick-release system allows soldiers to instantly remove their armor when necessary — which can be vital during sudden attacks or when there’s a need to quickly leave the battlefield. The OTAMAN body armor has inherited these advanced technologies, providing not only reliable protection but also high functionality for modern operators.
