OTAMAN Gen4 V5+ Body Armor is a model designed with an expanded full-body protection area. Its total weight is 10 kg, resulting from the use of a broadened ballistic protection zone (Class 2 under DSTU standards). In its base configuration, the V5+ provides Class 6 protection under DSTU 8782:2018, ensuring reliable resistance against shrapnel, ricochets, and automatic weapon fire.

Origin and Design

The OTAMAN (Improved Ballistic Vest, Class 2 DSTU) is based on the legendary IOTV (Improved Outer Tactical Vest) used by the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq.
This model became renowned for its largest protection area and adaptability to modern combat conditions.
The IOTV quick-release system—allowing instant armor removal in emergencies—was also integrated into the OTAMAN V5+.
